On March 27, 2024, the South Asian Chamber of Commerce (“SACC”) Houston was honored to receive a certificate of recognition at Congressman Wesley Hunt’s Small Business Symposium. Hosted at Lone Star College – University Park’s West Dining Hall. The symposium gathered various regional chambers and business representatives to celebrate their contributions to the diverse landscape of Houston commerce.
Congressman Hunt, Chair of the Subcommittee on Rural Development, Energy, and Supply Chains, hosted the event to highlight the importance of small businesses in the TX-38 district. Attendees, representing businesses of all sizes, heard his legislative agenda and gained insights into the small business outlook.
During the symposium, Congressman Hunt personally presented certificates to Chamber Executives/CEO’s as a token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work. SACC Houston was represented by Board Member Omar Siddiqui, who graciously accepted the certificate on behalf of the organization.
The event not only provided an opportunity for networking and collaboration among businesses but also underscored the vital role that chambers of commerce play in supporting and advocating for local businesses and entrepreneurs.
