On Thursday, October 24, 2024, the South Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) of Houston hosted an unforgettable celebration at the 31st Anniversary Gala, held at the prestigious Hilton Houston Post Oak by the Galleria. The elegant evening, themed as a sophisticated ‘Black Tie Affair,’ was a true highlight for the Chamber, showcasing the incredible accomplishments of the South Asian business community. Additionally, guests were treated to an exhilarating performance by the Houston Bhangra Academy, Texas’ first-established Bhangra academy, showcasing the rich and vibrant culture of Punjab through lively dance and music.
The event was graced by an inspiring keynote address from Chris Hollins, the City of Houston Controller. Mr. Hollins shared his insights on leadership, fiscal responsibility, and the importance of transparency in managing Houston’s multi-billion-dollar budget.
