(Houston, TX – August 3rd, 2017) – The South Asian Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit organization who provides leadership that helps create regional economic prosperity and success for its members since 1993, has announced the selection of Tania Kanga as its new Executive Director. The selection was made after a rigorous interview process and overwhelming vote of approval by the organization’s board members.

“We are very pleased to announce this appointment,” reported Malik Jamal, SACC president. “Tania will bring leadership, creativity and commitment to the goals and the mission of the Chamber. She has served as a board of director for the South Asian Chamber of Commerce and has the breadth of experience and perspective that is needed to take SACC ahead.”

Tania’s resume includes several non-profit board positions and membership rolls over her last 6 years in Houston. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and works as Director of Marketing for TradeMark Exteriors. Prior to this appointment, Tania sat on the board of the South Asian Chamber of Commerce.

“I look forward to serving as Executive Director and fulfilling SACC’s Vision,” remarks Tania. “I’m dedicated to this organization because I think there is a need for business resources in our community. SACC continues to play a key role in bridging the capital and talent in the South Asian Community and the broader Houston business and philanthropic communities.”
