About
The South Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) is a non-profit organization with the mission of providing leadership that will help create regional economic prosperity and success for its members, primarily in Houston.
The Chamber’s mission has expanded to include supporting the business relationships between South Asian entrepreneurs and professionals with the broader Houston community, and to close the cultural gap by promoting the best of talent and capital within the communities.
The Chamber was founded in 1994, by and with the dedicated patronage of multinational entrepreneurs and professionals, representing the South Asian countries of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Today, the SACC is comprised of members of South Asian-American heritage which include professionals and entrepreneurs from small to mid-sized businesses to large multinational corporations partnering with those in the broader local community interested in fostering relationships with South Asian-American businesses and professional enterprises.

To empower members through the Chamber by bridging the capital and talent in the South Asian community with the broader Houston business and philanthropic community.
Vision:
To attain widespread recognition as the premier chamber of South Asian-Americans who have become successful in their respective careers.
Goals:
EXPAND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES:
SACC shall open doors for professional from various career backgrounds, serving as a networking center for members to promote their businesses and learn about advancements in their industry.
BUSINESS EDUCATION:
SACC shall host several business-building events such as luncheons, receptions, fund raising events, and developmental seminars and workshops that will help its members learn new skills and stay on the competitive edge of current business trends.
FORMING ALLIANCES:
SACC shall connect its members with successful business and government leaders in Houston to create awareness of the Chamber and growing business opportunities within the South Asian-American community.
BUSINESS ADVOCACY:
SACC shall be the collective voice for its members making sure their concerns are heard in local government and progressing into the future with the Chamber as their liaison for economic vitality.
Objectives:
To enable its members to effectively bridge the know-how of talent and capital from the South Asian-American community to the broader Houston business and philanthropic community.
To provide opportunities to network with business leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs within the South Asian-American community as well as the larger community and the even larger Houston community.
To provide opportunities to network and learn about topics of interest by supporting its membership base of professionals, entrepreneurs and students through receptions, networking programs, professional development seminars and workshops, in an effort to further enhance the alliances within.
Our Board
SACC is now accepting applications from members who are interested in serving on the SACC Committees as Committee Chairs. Committees serve several vital functions for SACC. Some Committees serve as opportunities for professional growth and business development. Others enable its members to help SACC fulfill its program and policy goals, which include furthering its public service and advocacy/education projects.
